TSB bank has quite narrow offer of current account. It’s not bad at all though. At least their offer is very straightforward. What interest us in case of getting that £100 bonus are Classic and Classic Plus accounts. What I advice you to do is to forget about Classic one and create Classic Plus. There are basically the same but Classic Plus which has this great feature of 3% AER / 2.96% gross variable interest paid on balances up to £1,500 only. That’s additional £45 on top of £100 bonus so after switching to TSB and staying with them for minimum 12 months you will be £145 richer!

How to get refer a friend bonus:
There is only one way to get a TSB recommend a friend £100 bonus – have unique single-use link. You can’t find a random link in the Internet as you must be referred by TSB bank user. Of course I have referrals links and I’m very happy to share with it so I can also take advantage of that offer!
There are just a few simple rules to get that £100 TSB recommend a friend bonus:
- Apply for Classic or Classic Plus (I recommend Plus for the reasons mentioned above) no later than 28th of February.
- Fully switch to TSB bank from your old bank (it means closing your old account and transferring all money, Direct debits, standing orders etc.). IMPORTANT – date of switch can be set in March. You just need to open account until end of February.
- Your switch must include minimum 2 active Direct Debits (any DD which you use to pay for bills, Internet, your mobile contract, insurance anything – check if you have minimum 2 on your bank account)
- Keep minimum £500 on your new TSB account
- Bonus will be applied to your TSB account no later than 28 days after switch
